The Role of the Judiciary in Protecting Human Rights & Advancing Justice in Ghana
Virtue Foundation in partnership with the Leitner Center for International Law and Justice at Fordham Law School, the NYU Africa House, and the New York City Bar Association’s Committee on African Affairs, is pleased to announce a lecture by Ghana’s first woman Supreme Court Chief Justice, Her Ladyship Georgina Theodora Wood. Chief Justice Wood is a leader of reforms to mainstream alternative dispute resolution and promotes access to justice and rule of law in Ghanaian courts. Her talk is titled “The Role of the Judiciary in Protecting Human Rights and Advancing Justice in Ghana” and will be moderated by the Hon. Ann Claire Williams of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
