Nurses’ Conference Sponsorship

Virtue Foundation Institute for Innovation and Philanthropy in Ghana sponsors Ghanaian nurses attending London’s Commonwealth Nurses’ Conference to improve healthcare delivery in Ghana.

In line with its mission and goals to invest in local women leaders, build capacity and train local professionals toward improving health, education and the advancement of communities, Virtue Foundation Institute for Innovation and Philanthropy in Ghana sponsored three members of the Nurses and Midwives’ Council of Ghana to attend the Commonwealth Nurses’ Conference titled “Our Health: Our Common Wealth” in London from March 10 to 11, 2012.

Mrs. Dinah Asantewah Koranteng, Ms. Bisi Adewale and Mrs. Theodora Agbu were selected to attend the Conference as representatives of the Nurses and Midwives’ Council of Ghana. The Conference provided an opportunity for these women professionals to showcase and share their contributions to improving the health and well being of the people of Ghana. At the same time, participants received information and knowledge to share with their Ghanaian colleagues to enhance the Ghanaian Health System. Each Virtue Foundation-sponsored participant will also produce a written report outlining her Conference experience, lessons learned, and changes that she will implement in her practice as a result of the knowledge she gleaned from her attendance.
