On September 20th, 2018 during the 73rd UN General Assembly, Dun & Bradstreet and Tableau Foundation hosted a ‘Gallery Walk’ event to demonstrate how data and technology are aiming to empower the developing world. The Gallery Walk was a self-guided, interactive event where attendees moved through different hands-on exhibitions to learn how participating global organizations, foundations and U.N. agencies are using data and technology to address complex global issues. Virtue Foundation showcased the progress it has made on its Data Mapping Initiative, highlighting an open-source marketplace platform that uses predictive analytics, big data, and cloud computing to map the developing world to identify needs and match those needs with available medical care and resources. Other notable presenters included UNICEF, ONE.org, World Food Programme, Kessler Foundation, MasterCard, Rights Lab, and more.
