Virtue Foundation Supports Surgical Mission for Cancer Patients in Vietnam

In November 2022, Drs. Adam Jacobson and Theresa Tran led a surgical mission to the K National Cancer Hospital in Hanoi, Vietnam. With the support of the Virtue Foundation, KLS Martin, and other organizations, a team of 10 surgeons, nurses, residents, fellows, and medical students provided critical surgical care at this top cancer hospital that serves as a country-wide catchment area for advanced head and neck cancers. While there, the team worked closely with the local doctors and surgeons, treating oral cavity and laryngeal malignancies and demonstrated the versatility of free flap and local reconstruction in head and neck cancer. They look forward to continuing their global outreach with upcoming trips and initiatives.
