Virtue Foundation has always been dedicated to three core areas: healthcare, education, and women’s empowerment. During this year’s trip to Ghana, the Virtue Foundation team was excited to contribute to an educational initiative to support and sponsor schools in Northwest Ghana.
The Virtue Foundation raised funds and secured donations of school supplies, including pencils and pens. Funds were also raised to buy paint and construction supplies to renovate and revitalize local schools. The funds were also used to print school exercise books, their covers featuring the Virtue Foundation’s guiding principle: “One person at a time, one act at a time.”
Last year, the Virtue Foundation sponsored the Tutco Demonstration Basic School. We returned this year to support the school with donations of classroom supplies and to make further campus renovations. The Virtue Foundation expanded our educational initiative by sponsoring three more schools in the Upper West Region and distributing donated school supplies and exercise books: the Vamboi Basic School, the Bugubelle Basic School, and the Tumu Girl’s Model School.
This support is just the start of the Virtue Foundation’s renewed effort to address the educational needs of children in the Upper West Region, an area of Ghana that is often neglected in broader development efforts.
