In August of 2024, the Virtue Foundation presented some of our latest findings from the Actionable Data Initiative at the 2024 Global Ophthalmology Summit in Portland, Oregon. Key findings from Ghana and Mongolia included information about accessibility to healthcare facilities providing ophthalmic care and identifying medical deserts where ophthalmic care is most needed. The Actionable Data Initiative has developed these maps for 72 low- and low-middle-income countries across all medical specialties.
