In June 2025, the Virtue Foundation presented its AI-powered global healthcare platform at the 2025 Databricks Data + AI Summit, highlighting how data engineering, large language models, and geospatial analytics can help match medical volunteers with communities in need.
Virtue Foundation was featured at the 2025 Databricks Data + AI Summit in a presentation highlighting the Foundation’s use of artificial intelligence and advanced data infrastructure to improve global healthcare delivery.
The presentation, “Building AI That Matters: Powering Global Healthcare at The Virtue Foundation,” explored how Virtue Foundation and Databricks are working together to transform fragmented healthcare data into actionable insights. Through VFMatch and the Actionable Data Initiative, the Foundation is using AI-powered data pipelines to identify healthcare facilities, map medical deserts, and better connect volunteer clinicians with underserved communities.
The session also highlighted the technical work behind the platform, including large-scale data extraction, production-grade data engineering, and entity resolution to create more trustworthy healthcare facility data. These tools support Virtue Foundation’s broader mission to deliver quality healthcare to those in need while building a more efficient marketplace for global healthcare delivery through machine learning and AI.
Virtue Foundation is grateful to Databricks and the Databricks for Good team for their partnership and for helping bring greater visibility to the role that data and AI can play in advancing sustainable global health.
