Virtue Foundation Joins Museum of Science Panel on Generative AI in Global Healthcare

At a Harvard Business School Alumni Association panel in Boston, Virtue Foundation shared how generative AI, geospatial data, and predictive analytics can help identify healthcare needs and improve access to care in underserved communities worldwide.

In July 2025, the Virtue Foundation participated in a panel hosted by the Harvard Business School Alumni Association at the Museum of Science in Boston. The panel explored how generative AI is transforming healthcare and life sciences, highlighting the Foundation’s use of AI to better identify global healthcare needs and connect resources to underserved communities.

Virtue Foundation was featured as part of the program, “Generative AI and the New Dawn of Life Sciences and Healthcare,” a panel discussion exploring the role of artificial intelligence in transforming healthcare delivery.

Dr. Joan LaRovere, cofounder and president of Virtue Foundation, discussed how generative AI can support global health by helping organizations better understand where healthcare needs exist and how resources can be more effectively directed. Through VFMatch and the Actionable Data Initiative, Virtue Foundation is using AI, geospatial data, and predictive analytics to identify underserved regions and match healthcare providers with communities in need.

The discussion highlighted the importance of applying emerging technologies to real-world healthcare challenges, particularly in low-resource settings where data may be fragmented or difficult to interpret. Virtue Foundation’s work demonstrates how generative AI can help strengthen planning, improve coordination, and support more equitable access to care.

Virtue Foundation is grateful to the Museum of Science and its partners for the opportunity to share this work and contribute to the broader conversation on how AI can be used responsibly to advance sustainable global healthcare.
