Virtue Foundation Joins Databricks Fireside Chat on AI and Global Health

Virtue Foundation joined Databricks co-founder Arsalan Tavakoli-Shiraji to discuss how AI, geospatial analytics, and data infrastructure are helping identify healthcare deserts and improve access to care worldwide.

Virtue Foundation participated in a fireside chat with Databricks co-founder Arsalan Tavakoli-Shiraji during Databricks’ January 2026 company kick-off, sharing how AI and data infrastructure are helping advance global healthcare delivery.

The conversation took place at Warriors Stadium, with Databricks employees attending in person and joining through viewing groups across the globe. The discussion highlighted Virtue Foundation’s work at the intersection of artificial intelligence, geospatial analytics, and global health, including the Foundation’s use of VFMatch and the Actionable Data Initiative to identify healthcare deserts and better connect medical resources with communities in need.

The fireside chat also underscored the importance of partnership between mission-driven organizations and technology leaders. With support from Databricks, Virtue Foundation is building scalable data infrastructure that can help transform fragmented healthcare information into actionable insights for planning, coordination, and service delivery.

Virtue Foundation is grateful to Databricks and its global team for the opportunity to share this work and for their continued partnership in helping advance sustainable, data-driven healthcare delivery around the world.
