
Reza Yassari
Dr. Reza Yassari is Professor of Neurosurgery and Orthopedics at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center, Surgical Director of the Montefiore Spine Center and Residency Program Director in Neurosurgery. An expert in spinal oncology and complex spine surgery, Dr. Yassari completed his medical education at the University of Vienna, his postgraduate training at the University of Chicago and Johns Hopkins University and was a Fellow at the Maclean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics. He is a Diplomate of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and an active member of The Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the New York Academy of Sciences. He was part of the inaugural class of the Emerging Leaders Program at the Chicago Council of Foreign Affairs and is Elected Member of AO Spine North America and The Society of Neurological Surgeons. His academic and research endeavors focus on the fields of spinal oncology, health care disparity, surgical education, and global health.
