In January of 2015, several Virtue Foundation volunteer surgeons from Vienna, Austria collected a donation of medications and supplies to be sent to Tumu District Hospital, Ghana.
Together with Wolfram Alpha, Virtue Foundation has taken the next steps in bringing the Data Mapping for Sustainable Development Initiative to fruition. As part of this Initiative, Virtue Foundation and Wolfram Alpha have developed a multi-layered, relational map of Ghana.

Virtue Foundation donated two noninvasive ventilators and on-site training to provide respiratory support for children acutely unwell with respiratory failure. In Tumu in northwestern Ghana, there’s only one hospital to serve 100,000 people and transportation is scarce. The result: injured children never see a doctor, women die in labor before they can reach medical help. But those appalling facts started to change when Women in the World, Virtue Foundation and Toyota came along with a few simple solutions.
