A volunteer medical team traveled to Ghana to provide complex surgeries, clinical training, and essential supplies across northern facilities. The mission strengthened partnerships, expanded capacity for local providers, and supported ongoing efforts that will continue to grow through 2026 and future programs.
In August 2025, the team shared new research at the Global Ophthalmology Summit, presenting global access mapping from the Actionable Data Initiative and glaucoma surgery findings from Ghana. The work highlights care gaps, surgical outcomes, and models that strengthen eye health in underserved regions.
A multidisciplinary team returned to Mongolia for 2 weeks of advanced care and clinical training across Ulaanbaatar and Khuvsgul. Volunteers treated patients, performed specialized procedures, mentored local clinicians, and broadened access through continued collaboration with hospitals and regional partners.
